Mothers day in this pandemic

Many of us moms are left to wonder how to celebrate being or becoming a mother. However, I realize that the reason I celebrate this special day is for my children. This Mothers day I plan to spend time with my family outdoors by having a picnic. Sure its not all glitz and glamorous as going and having a nice brunch meal at a beach side restaurant. However, its the little things that make me smile and rejoice in this amazing tradition.

Traditionally every year I love captivating my kids growing up by doing a photography session. Although, this year I will not have the pictures done around mothers day I am still eagerly awaiting to have the photo shoot. My guilty delight is to get all doll up for this day and get my kids ready. I know some moms dread having to do this. Honestly I enjoy having that memory with me forever. I choose to photograph each period of growth for both my kids and myself. I hope that with all of this chaos this year has brought we can still rejoice in the simple things in life.
